Terms & Condition

McLeo’s Studio — Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: September 7, 2026

By requesting, approving, purchasing, or using services provided by McLeo’s Studio, the customer agrees to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Services

McLeo’s Studio provides creative and digital services including website design, flyers, posters, social media graphics, business cards, signs and banners, forms, invitations, promotional materials, and other custom design services.

The exact work included in each project will be outlined in the customer's quote or other written agreement.

2. Quotes & Pricing

Prices displayed on the McLeo’s Studio website, social media pages, or advertising materials are starting prices unless otherwise stated.

A quote may be provided before work begins. Pricing may vary depending on the complexity of the project, number of pages or designs, requested features, turnaround time, and other requirements.

Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

Additional work requested outside the original project scope may result in additional charges. These charges will be discussed with the customer before the additional work is completed.

3. Payment

Payment arrangements will be provided with the customer's quote.

For larger projects, including websites, McLeo’s Studio may require a deposit before work begins, with the remaining balance due according to the terms of the quote.

Completed files or websites may be withheld until outstanding McLeo’s Studio charges have been paid.

4. Revisions

Unless otherwise stated, most design projects include up to two revisions.

Additional revisions may be charged at the current additional-revision rate.

A revision means a reasonable change to the original design. A significant change in direction, new concept, additional page, new content, or substantial alteration may be considered additional work and quoted separately.

5. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for providing accurate information, wording, photographs, logos, contact information, and other materials required to complete their project.

The customer is responsible for reviewing all designs and information carefully before final approval, including:

  • Names and spelling
  • Dates and times
  • Addresses
  • Telephone numbers and email addresses
  • Prices
  • Website addresses
  • Event information
  • Other important details

Once the customer approves the final design, McLeo’s Studio is not responsible for errors that were present in the approved version.

6. Customer-Supplied Content

Customers must have permission to use any photographs, logos, artwork, trademarks, written material, or other content they provide to McLeo’s Studio.

McLeo’s Studio reserves the right to refuse material that we reasonably believe cannot legally or appropriately be used.

7. Digital Designs & Printing

Unless specifically stated otherwise, McLeo’s Studio provides design work as digital files only.

Printing is not included in the design price.

Customers are responsible for arranging and paying for any printing they require. McLeo’s Studio can prepare designs in suitable digital formats, but differences may occur between how colours appear on a screen and how they appear when printed.

Customers should confirm their chosen printer's specifications before ordering large quantities.

8. Website Design

Websites created by McLeo’s Studio may be built using Webador or another agreed-upon website platform.

McLeo’s Studio's website-design fee covers the services specifically included in the customer's quote.

Unless specifically included in writing, the following are separate from McLeo’s Studio's design fee:

  • Website hosting or subscription fees
  • Domain registration and renewal
  • Business email services
  • Paid apps, plugins or additional features
  • E-commerce or payment-processing charges
  • Third-party services
  • Other ongoing platform expenses

Customers are responsible for maintaining the subscriptions and services necessary to keep their website operating.

9. Website Ownership & Accounts

Whenever practical, third-party website, domain, and related accounts should be registered in or transferred to the customer's control.

Customers are responsible for maintaining their account credentials, subscription payments, domain renewals, and other ongoing services after the project is completed unless a separate maintenance agreement has been arranged.

10. Website Maintenance

Website updates and ongoing maintenance are not automatically included with the original website-design price unless specifically stated in the customer's package or quote.

Customers may contact McLeo’s Studio for future updates, additions, or redesigns. Additional charges may apply.

11. Third-Party Services

McLeo’s Studio is not responsible for outages, price changes, policy changes, discontinued features, account restrictions, security incidents, or other issues caused by independent third-party services such as website hosts, domain providers, email providers, social networks, or payment processors.

12. Turnaround Times

Estimated completion times may be provided when a project begins. Completion times can depend on the complexity of the project and how quickly the customer supplies information, feedback, and approvals.

Rush service may be available for an additional charge.

13. Cancellations

If a customer cancels a project after work has begun, charges may apply for work already completed.

Deposits and payments for completed work may be non-refundable to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Any specific cancellation or refund conditions included in the customer's written quote will also apply.

14. Portfolio Use

McLeo’s Studio may request permission to display completed work in our portfolio, website, or social media accounts.

Customers may request that their project remain private.

Private customer information will not intentionally be displayed as part of promotional materials.

15. Final Approval

The customer is responsible for reviewing and approving the finished project.

Approval indicates that the customer is satisfied with the design and has checked the information supplied for accuracy.

16. Limitation of Responsibility

McLeo’s Studio will make reasonable efforts to provide professional and reliable services. However, we cannot guarantee specific business results, sales, website traffic, social-media engagement, search-engine rankings, or other outcomes resulting from a design, advertisement, or website.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or limit rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded under applicable Canadian or Ontario law.

17. Changes to These Terms

McLeo’s Studio may update these Terms & Conditions as our services and business practices change.

The version applicable to a project will generally be the version in effect when the customer accepts the applicable quote, unless otherwise agreed or required by law.
